Many of you already know us, my wife Michelle and I (Matt Brostrom) have been active in the local community and have been providing physical therapy for folks in the City of South Lyon and surrounding area for several years.  As time progressed we were moved to open our own clinic where we could provide a more personal setting and specialize in Spine and Extremity rehabilitation using the world reknowned McKenzie Methods.  Though that is our specialty, you can expect the same commitment to the best possible therapy for any of your physical rehabilitation needs.  So, if therapy is required for neurological disorders all the way down to the toes - we'd love to treat you!

We are both honored and humbled to recieve the award for South Lyon's Best Physical Therapist for 2012.  Honored to recieve such an award from the community and current/former patients, but humbled to know that it came simply as a result of what most therapy patients are looking for - all hands-on therapy from a therapist that has a passion for the application of the right therapy to quickly improve patient well being.

New Therapist Lauren Moyano!

Lauren comes to us all the way from Washington D.C.!  It's a big move to Michigan, but we know this is where her heart will stay, she has plans to be married to an aspiring engineer who works iwith Indy cars in the fall of 2013. Lauren graduated from Columbia University in 2009 with her doctorate in Physical Therapy.  Upon graduation, Lauren worked at the National Rehabilitation Hospital in Washington D.C., where she practiced physical therapy in an outpatient orthopedic setting. Lauren began working with us in April 2013.

 

Lauren has a strong background in treating runners, and has previously started running clinics in the community to educate runners on injury prevention. She has also had extensive experience and education with ACL injury prevention classes with young female athletes. Injury prevention education is a strong passion of Lauren’s and something she wishes to bring to the South Lyon community.  WELCOME LAUREN!

Personal, All Hands-On Therapy

At Brostrom Physical Therapy we provide an All Hands-On Approach which means you'll get the therapy you need by a certified therapist, not an assistant or a machine.  Our patient treatment rooms are private.  Yes, we do have state of the art equipment for rehabilitation and strength building and a big screen TV, but the therapy comes first from the therapist in a personal setting.
