Deep Tissue Massage Therapy
During a deep tissue massage, emphasis is placed on getting through to deep muscle layers by applying pressure to specific problem areas. This relieves severe tension in the muscle and the connective tissue. Deep tissue massages may be beneficial if you are physically active, or if you have suffered a physical injury or surgery (such as a hip/knee replacement). It is common to experience newfound muscle soreness after a deep tissue massage. This soreness will relieve itself over the course of a few days and is an effect of increased/deep palpation to certain muscles.
Deep Tissue Massage
"After the bones in my fractured shoulder healed, I still had very limited mobility and pain in my dominant arm. After one massage session at Brostrom's, I could move my arm more than twice as far! Each subsequent session has brought more ease of movement and less pain. I am extremely pleased."
